A patient who had chronic migraine for years, managed predominantly by painkillers but with no discernible change over the years. He had met with many neurologists but they had started taking over his life and he had even considered changing career as an IT engineer until he met Dr Ashvy.
She removed a lot of inflammatory foods from his diet and encouraged him to eat more ‘brain food’. She analysed his sleep and realised he wasn’t getting enough deep sleep, so advised how to improve and monitor that. She then looked at his home office layout and advised on changing the style of chair and desk. She requested that he protect his eyes with blue blocker glasses and EMF reducing screens. She advised gentler medications with less side effects. It was this lifestyle prescription that put his migraines in remission; from 3-4 per week to 1 per 6 months. More importantly the patient had learned to identify triggers and manage them with lifestyle rather than medications.
